At Amazon’s surprise press event, the company has taken the wraps off their latest Echo device in the form of the Echo Spot. As you can see in the photo, the Echo Spot looks like a hi-tech alarm clock but it is still at its core an Echo speaker with a smaller 2.5-inch display. It can be used as an alarm clock if you wish, but it can also be used to make video calls and can also stream from various music streaming services.
This includes the likes of Amazon’s own Prime Music, Pandora, Spotify, iHeartRadio, and TuneIn (no surprises that Tidal or Apple Music didn’t make the cut). They can also be synced up with Amazon hoping that customers will buy multiple units to place within their home. As for pricing, the Echo Spot isn’t exactly cheap at $130, but if you’re interested pre-orders are currently being accepted and is expected to be released on the 19th of December.
