However that hasn’t really been the case, but that could change with the Samsung Galaxy Note 8. In a report from The Investor (via PhoneArena), it is believed that Samsung could introduce a pressure-sensitive display with the upcoming Galaxy Note 8. However to what extent this will be remains to be seen, but it is said that for the most part, it will at least follow in the footsteps of the Galaxy S8/S8+ where a pressure-sensitive display will be used to replace the home button.
However like we said, whether or not it will end up being like Apple’s Force Touch remains to be seen. The Note 8, based on leaked renders and rumors, will also be killing the physical home button, which means that just like the Galaxy S8/S8+, it could stand to benefit from an onscreen button.
Samsung is expected to officially announce the handset on the 23rd of August, so we guess we won’t have to wait much longer for the details.
