Just like the rumors have suggested, the Nokia 8 comes packed with the latest specs which includes the use of the Qualcomm Snapdragon 835 chipset. It will also be accompanied by 4GB of RAM, 64GB of onboard storage, a 5.3-inch QHD display with Corning’s Gorilla Glass 5 screen, and a sizeable 3,090mAh battery that supports Qualcomm Quick Charge 3.0.
As for the camera, it looks like we can look forward to seeing Carl Zeiss optics in Nokia phones again, especially after the report that HMD and Carl Zeiss had entered into a partnership similar to what Nokia and Carl Zeiss did back in the day. The result is a smartphone with dual 13MP cameras on the back, one which captures in color with OIS, while the other captures in mono. The front-facing camera will also be of the 13MP variety with phase detection autofocus.
It also seems that the Nokia 8 will come with improved audio technology thanks to the use of Nokia’s OZO audio technology. This will see the phone come equipped with three microphones that rely on the acoustic algorithms of OZO to capture audio with immersive 360-degree spatial surround sound. The Nokia 8 will be available for purchase in September where it will be priced at €599 and will come in four different color options.
