This is actually not Neato’s first foray into robotic vacuum cleaners. The company has unveiled quite a few models in the past but according to them, the Botvac D7 Connected is the company’s “most intelligent” robot vacuum cleaner to date. This is thanks to features like the Neato FloorPlanner Advanced Mapping & Cleaning technology, as well as IFTTT compatibility, meaning that you can actually further automate your vacuum cleaner for specific events/time and so on.
The Botvac D7 Connected will also come with an accompanying app that will allow users to create a personalized floor plan, where they can set geofences within the home where they do not want the robot to go. The app will also come with a Cleaning Summary Map that will show where the robot has vacuumed, and if there were any issues or obstacles that might have been in its way during the cleaning process.
As expected robotic vacuum cleaners do not come cheap and the Neato Botvac D7 Connect is no different. It will be priced at $799 and is expected to be made available in Q4 2017.
