However in a couple of videos uploaded by developer Guilherme Rambo (via 9to5Mac), it seems that we might have an idea of how it will work. Apparently this video was discovered within the latest iOS 11 beta that shows how app switching will work without the need for a home button. Note that the phone pictured in the video is not the iPhone 8, or at least not according to the leaks we’ve seen so far.

However it is still an interesting video as it does show some new gestures that users can perform to launch the app switcher. Also it appears that Apple is changing some of the gestures used in iOS 11, where swiping from the right of the display while the phone is locked will bring up Control Center instead of the camera, which begs the question of what quick gesture can we use to launch the camera now?
That being said, Rambo claims that these videos have apparently been in the iOS 11 beta since May this year, and that they could potentially be software prototypes as opposed to the final design, so maybe when iOS 11 is launched we will know better.
