While we can’t speak for other OEMs, HTC has recently announced via Twitter that they will be bringing the update to several of their flagship phones. This includes last year’s HTC 10, the HTC U Ultra that was announced earlier this year, and HTC’s latest flagship smartphone the HTC U11.
Now obviously this isn’t HTC’s entire lineup of phones and we’re sure some are wondering what about HTC’s non-flagships? What about the mid-rangers or low-end handsets? HTC has yet to mention whether or not other devices are eligible for the update, but HTC has stated that additional details and other devices will be announced later, so we can only assume that there will be more HTC handsets added to the list in the future.
For now we guess HTC just wants to reassure their flagship customers that these phones are confirmed to receive the update. There is no word on when the update will be released but hopefully HTC won’t take too long and that maybe we can expect its release by the end of the year.
