In the APK teardown of the latest beta of Google Maps for Android, the folks at Android Police have discovered some new features that will presumably make it to the public version of the app, and a Q&A section is one of them. As the name would suggest, this is where users can post questions and other users can answer them, such as is there valet parking, what time do they close, what is this place famous for, are pets allowed, and etc.
To be honest we reckon that a lot of these questions could actually be solved by simply doing a quick search, however if you are already using Google Maps, then we guess it does save you time from having to switch apps, although whether or not your answered will be replied promptly remains to be seen.
As is the case with most Q&A platforms like Yahoo Answers or Quora, responses can be marked as helpful so that other users in the future can determine if the answer is relevant/helpful without having to search further.
