Galaxy Note 8 With 256GB Storage May Be Launched In South Korea

As we get closer to the official launch of the Galaxy Note 8, we keep finding out more details about the upcoming flagship from Samsung. There have been rumors before that the Galaxy Note 8 may offer significantly more onboard storage. According to a new report, Samsung is going to release a variant of the Galaxy Note 8 with 256GB onboard storage, but it’s likely going to be limited to South Korea.

The recent reports about the specifications of the Galaxy Note 8 all suggest that it’s going to have 64GB of storage. That’s what the case is going to be in most markets. Customers in the majority of the markets where this smartphone is released will have to make do with 64GB of onboard storage.

It’s not like they will be pressed for storage, though, given that the Galaxy Note 8 is going to have support for external expansion via microSD cards. So 64GB of storage is certainly going to go a long way for them.

It’s unclear whether the Galaxy Note 8 with 256GB storage will be branded as the “Emperor Edition” in South Korea as it has been previously rumored, but there’s a good chance now that this variant will be made official at launch or soon after the company unveils the Galaxy Note 8 on August 23rd.

Samsung may or may not offer this variant in other markets across the globe but so far it hasn’t been said that this remains a possibility.
