Blass’ claim for the 15th of September is actually in line with an earlier rumor in which Samsung’s roadmap for the Galaxy Note 8 was leaked, and it confirmed that the phone would be released on the 15th of September, which will be preceded by a couple of weeks of pre-orders. However the leak was from South Korea so it was unclear if those dates are specific to South Korea or if they might be applicable to the rest of the world.
However given that Samsung tends to do simultaneous worldwide releases for their major markets, it’s not hard to imagine that those dates could be applicable for markets like the US as well. Blass had also tweeted earlier that pre-orders will begin on the 24th of August and for those who can be bothered to pre-order, the phone will come with a 256GB microSD card and a choice of either a convertible wireless charger or the Samsung 360 camera.
