Samsung has recently confirmed that the Galaxy Note 8 handset will be officially announced on the 23rd of August, but the question is when will the phone be made available for purchase? Typically what we have seen most manufacturers do is that they usually take a couple of weeks to a month before releasing their products to the market.

However that might not be the case with the Note 8. In a report from Reddit, it seems that a Best Buy Mobile employee “confirmed” that the Note 8 will actually be launched on the 24th of August, which is pretty much the next day after the handset has been announced. It is also expected to be available via Verizon and Samsung on that date.

A Reddit moderator confirmed that the source is indeed a Best Buy Mobile employee, but whether or not the report is true remains to be seen. This is because we have recently heard rumors that the Note 8 will actually be released on the 15th of September, with pre-orders kicking off from the 1st of September.

That information is supposedly based on a leaked roadmap of Samsung’s launch plans for the device. In any case take it with a grain of salt for now, but we guess having the phone released so quickly can only be a good thing.
