#IFA2017 ASUS has unveiled a new Republic of Gamers laptop at IFA 2017 in Berlin today. Called the ROG Chimera, ASUS claims that this is the world’s first gaming laptop with an ultra responsive 17.3 inch 144hz wide-view display. It touts a 7ms gray to gray response time which promises a smooth and seamless visual experience that has never been seen before on a notebook. That’s what ASUS is claiming.
The ASUS ROG Chimera is powered by a factory overclocked Intel Core i7-7820HK processor that can reach speeds of up to 4.3GHz out of the box.
It enables gamers to play AAA titles at maxed out settings. The processor is coupled with NVIDIA GeForce 1080 graphics with a maximum boost clock of up to 1974MHz.
The Chimera is powered by Windows 10 and comes with built-in Xbox Wireless. This enables gamers to easily pair their Xbox controller with their PC without needing to purchase an external adapter or having to switch between multiple controllers between PC and console.
ASUS hasn’t released a full spec sheet for the ROG Chimera at this point in time. It has merely unveiled the gaming laptop at IFA 2017 today. The full spec sheet will be out in due time and it goes without saying that we can expect top-level specifications.
ASUS is yet to confirm when the ROG Chimera is going to be launched and how much it’s going to charge for its latest gaming notebook.
