However we should point out that Allo for web is currently only available for Android devices. While the feature is live, the Allo website is saying that this feature is only available for Android phones at the moment, with support for the iPhone coming soon. There was no mention of when exactly, but we guess iPhone owners will just have to wait.
It is unclear if this is due to technical issues or if Google simply wants to give Android users an exclusive feature at the start, but either way iPhone owners will have no choice but to remain patient. For Android users (and presumably iPhone users later), setting up Allo for the web appears to be pretty straightforward.
All you have to do is launch the Allo app on your Android device, go to the menu and select “Allo for web”, and scan the QR code displayed on the website where it will then sync your accounts. Once that’s done you should be good to go.
