YouTube TV Expands Availability To 10 New Cities In The US

Several months ago, YouTube TV was officially launched. However at its launch, the service was not available in all markets across the US, but then again this is pretty normal since we guess that YouTube probably wants to take it slow to ensure that things are up and running properly before expanding its availability.

Now as you might have heard, last month YouTube announced their plans to bring the service to more markets, and sure enough that time has come. If you are living in Dallas-Fort Worth, Washington, D.C., Houston, Atlanta, Phoenix, Detroit, Minneapolis-St. Paul, Miami-Fort Lauderdale, Orlando-Daytona Beach-Melbourne, or Charlotte, you might be interested to learn that YouTube TV will now be available in your area.

For those unfamiliar, YouTube TV is a new service launched by YouTube that allows (for a fee) users to stream content from the Big Four networks, including sports and other cable channels via the app or on Apple TV. There is also a DVR feature that lets users save movies and TV shows for watching later.

So far the service is currently only available in the US, presumably due to the licensing agreements that they would need for other networks in other countries. To what extent its availability will be remains to be seen, but for now it looks like more users in the US will be able to take advantage of the service.
