We’re not 100% sure on the naming yet, but presumably we are talking about the iPhone 7s and the iPhone 7s Plus. According to Geskin’s source, “Zhengzhou Foxconn has started trial production of 3 new iPhones (7s,7s Plus, “8”) About 200 units per day. iPhone 8 is not delayed”. Of course whether or not this can be relied upon remains to be seen, so safe to say you should take it with a grain of salt.
While there is a possibility that the iPhone 8 might not be delayed, it does not mention whether or not it will be constrained in its supply. We have heard rumors and predictions in the past where it said that the iPhone 8 won’t be delayed, but apparently due to the difficulty in manufacturing, it might not be as readily available as customers would like, with some even suggesting that this constraint could be spilled into 2018.
We suppose we’ll just have to wait and see, and with Apple rumored to announce the new phones come September (or late August), we won’t have to wait much longer to find out.
