The question is, how reliable is the leak? For starters the source has proven to be extremely reliable in the past, but as an added bonus, a recent posting on Baidu (via PhoneArena) has revealed that someone at Nokia might have accidentally launched the website for the Nokia 8, thus confirming the handset’s name and design in the process.
The page in question has since been taken down, but for the most part from what we can tell, the handset in question certainly does look the same as the earlier leak. The screen does seem to be a bit wider, but there’s a chance that it could be due to the angle. If the rumors are true, the handset is apparently due for an official announcement towards the end of the month, so it probably won’t be too long until we get the official details.
Rumored specs include a 5.3-inch QHD display, a Qualcomm Snapdragon 835 chipset, up to 6GB of RAM, a 13MP rear-facing dual camera with Carl Zeiss optics, and a fingerprint sensor on the front.
