The folks at Nikon Rumors have managed to get their hands on what appears to be leaked press photos of the upcoming camera. For the most part it seems that the design of the camera hasn’t changed much, but then again DSLRs have largely sported similar-ish designs so we doubt that Nikon would have broken away from tradition.
However the photos, if real and accurate, shows off a tilting LCD display which is one of the camera’s rumored features. It also seems that the pentaprism used in the D850 differs from other Nikon DSLRs, like the Nikon D5 and the D810, the latter of which had a built-in pop-up flash, while the D850 seems to have done away with it.
The D850 will be a full-frame camera and its megapixel count is said to be between 45-46 megapixels, but Nikon hasn’t confirmed it yet. It is also rumored to sport the same AF system as the Nikon D5, and will feature an improved version of Snapbridge. There is no specific date on the full unveiling, so check back with us in the coming days/weeks for the details.
