Unfortunately it seems that we will still have to wait for Nikon to unveil more details, but in the meantime the folks at Nikon Rumors have published some additional details about the camera, which according to them will basically result in the D850 being a “baby” version of the D5, which is one of Nikon’s higher-end cameras.
According to the report, the D850 will feature 10fps shooting speeds, which might be useful for those looking to shoot action or sports photos. It is also rumored to sport a 46MP full-frame sensor, and that it will apparently be priced at 1,000 Euros more than that of the D810. In fact it seems that the launch of the D850 will not see the D810 being discontinued as it has been rumored that both cameras will exist side-by-side.
Recently there have been rumors to suggest that the D850 could sport a hybrid viewfinder system that combines an OVF with an EVF, but there has been some skepticism about those claims, but either way take it with a grain of salt for now.
