Millennials Get Their Very Own Airline From Air France

Air France has decided that millennials are worthy of having their own airline which is why it has decided to launch Joon, a new airline which the company says is aimed at millennial travelers. Joon will take to the skies in September this year. Air France’s press release says that the new airline is going to be “aimed at a young working clientele, the millennials (18 to 35 year-olds), whose lifestyles revolve around digital technology.”

Air France is promising an “innovative” travel experience for those who choose to fly with Joon. How it’s going to do that, though, remains a mystery at this point in time. That’s because the press release doesn’t really provide any information about the in-flight services that will be geared towards a generation that thrives on digital connectivity.

The airline did release images of the crew’s uniforms that appear to be very trendy and Instagrammable. Don’t think that Joon is going to be a low-cost airline. The press release confirms that Joon isn’t going to be a low-cost airline as it’s going to offer original products and services that reflect those of Air France.

Joon has also been described as a “lifestyle brand and a state of mind” for some reason, it’s going to be “short, punchy, and international.”

The fleet will be made up of Airbus A320, Airbus A340, and Airbus A350 so the millennial crowd will really be able to travel long distances with Joon. More information about routes and fares will be provided once Joon takes to the skies in September.
