The good news for photographers is that if the above describes your workflow, you might be pleased to learn that Adobe has recently issued an update for Lightroom for iOS, where support for the Apple Pencil is one of the new features that they’ll be introducing. To be more specific, users with the Apple Pencil will be able to make edits that might be pressure-sensitive. The changelog reads, “Supports Apple Pencil for pressure-sensitive application of enhancements”.
For those who don’t own the iPad Pro or Apple Pencil, not to worry as Adobe has not forgotten about you guys either. For iPhone owners, Adobe will be introducing a similar feature but instead of the Apple Pencil, it will rely on 3D Touch which is also pressure-sensitive. According to Adobe, “Supports 3D Touch for pressure-sensitive application of enhancements on devices that support 3D Touch”.
The update should already be live so if you haven’t done so already, you’ll be able to get your hands on it via the iTunes App Store.
