For those unfamiliar, the LG V20 was launched last year and was considered to be LG’s second flagship phone for the year of 2016. Back then we guess it did pack some pretty high-end specs, but compared to today, we guess it does feel a bit dated, but it should still be more than capable of getting the job done, which is what the LG Q8 is trying to achieve.
According to LG, the LG Q8 will feature a 5.2-inch QHD display and under the hood, a Qualcomm Snapdragon 820 chipset can be found with 4GB of RAM and 32GB of onboard storage. Sounds pretty familiar, doesn’t it? It also packs dual rear-facing 13MP cameras, an 8MP front-facing camera, and it will also feature a 32-bit quad DAC for the audiophiles out there.
It also features an IP67 rating which means that getting it wet doesn’t necessarily mean a death sentence. Unfortunately it seems to be only available in Italy at the moment as the announcement was made on LG Italy’s website, but who knows, it could eventually find its way stateside as well.
