If you love the Kingdom Hearts franchise, then there’s a good chance that you might have been eagerly anticipating the release of Kingdom Hearts 3, whose trailer made its debut at E3 2017 earlier this year. Unfortunately the game is currently set for a release in 2018, but the good news is that Square Enix and Disney have additional footage that they recently shared.
The new trailer for Kingdom Hearts 3 was launched during the 2017 D23 conference which shows Sora, Donald, and Goofy taking one various Heartless while being inside of Pixar’s Toy Story world, which we have to admit is actually a pretty awesome setting to be in. It also marks the first time that we are seeing the Pixar universe (or at least part of it) introduced into the series.
We’re not sure what took them so long, especially when you consider the fact that Disney acquired Pixar back in 2006. It is unclear if the Toy Story universe will be the only Pixar franchise to star in the game or if we will encounter more Pixar franchises later on, or maybe in future titles, but for now it seems like a pretty good start.
In any case if you have a couple of minutes to spare, then do check out the new trailer for the game in the video above.
