iPhone 8 Release Now Expected In November, White Bezel Won’t Be Offered

There have already been countless contradicting reports about the iPhone 8 release. The rumor mill has all sorts of theories about when Apple is going to unveil its new flagship smartphone. The latest suggests that while Apple is likely to announce the iPhone 8 in September, it may not actually release the device until November. This would be an unprecedented wait for customers who normally don’t like having to wait beyond a couple of weeks for a new flagship handset.

Mac Otakara reports today, citing sources from Apple’s Asia-based supply chain, that the company is going to announce the iPhone 8 at its traditional fall event in September. Apple may only release the iPhone 7s and iPhone 7s Plus soon after the event, but since they will be incremental in nature, many will just be waiting for the iPhone 8 to arrive.

The report mentions that the iPhone 8 may not be released until October or November and even then the supply is said to be strictly limited during the initial launch period. It’s unclear why the sources believe this to be the case but previous rumors suggest it has to do with some production issues related to certain components of the iPhone 8.

It’s also claimed that the front bezel color options of the iPhone 8 will just be limited to black so those who like to have white front bezels will be out of luck. Apple provides the white bezel option with the iPhone 7 and iPhone 7 Plus so it’s unclear why it would ditch that for the iPhone 8.

Nothing has been officially confirmed so far which is why you should take the rumors with a grain of salt.
