how to record calls on iPhone
Rumor has it that the next-generation iPhone, referred to as the iPhone 8, is going to have a bezel-less design. It’s believed that to achieve this design, Apple will do away with the home button much like Samsung did for the Galaxy S8. That presents a challenge: where does the fingerprint sensor go? The rumor mill has long believed that the iPhone 8’s fingerprint sensor will be integrated into the display itself. However, there are now conflicting views on that possibility.

It was also rumored that Samsung would integrate the Galaxy S8’s fingerprint sensor into the display but since the technology wasn’t ready, the company decided to relocate the component to the back of the device.

That’s a possibility for Apple as well. Even though the iPhone has never had a rear-mounted fingerprint sensor before, there’s always a first time for everything. Noted Apple analyst Ming-Chi Kuo predicts that while the iPhone 8 won’t have a home button, the fingerprint sensor won’t be inside the display.

Kuo’s latest prediction doesn’t really make it clear where the sensor will be located if it’s not going to be integrated into the display. Will Apple move it to the rear like many Android OEMs have already done? It certainly can’t release an iPhone with a fingerprint sensor anymore so it will have to come up with a solution.

None of this is obviously known for sure right now so take such predictions with a dose of salt.
