Huawei has launched a couple of new fitness trackers called the Band 2 and Band 2 Pro. The new wearable devices from Huawei feature a heart rate sensor that provides all-day heart monitoring. The Band 2 Pro has additional functionality that provides more in-depth information to the user. It even has a built-in GPS.
Both the Huawei Band 2 and Band 2 Pro feature a PMOLED display. They are waterproof up to 5 ATM and have the same design. The bands are compatible with Android devices running version 4.4 and up as well as iOS devices running version 8.0 and up.
The Huawei Band 2 Pro also has a “Firstbeat” system which analyzes the maximum rate of oxygen consumption to provide the user with feedback which will aid them in improving their stamina.
Other than that, the Huawei Band 2 Pro comes with a built-in GPS which provides accurate data about distance covered and the speed. The Sports Coach feature integrates a professional motion analysis algorithm “to help users exercise in a thoroughly scientific way,” the company says on its website.
Huawei is going to offer the new wearable devices in blue, black and red band options. The company is yet to confirm when the Band 2 and Band 2 Pro will be released and how much they’re going to cost.
