Google Play Music does a good job of providing personalized recommendations to users so that they can discover music that they might be interested in. Google’s music streaming service is now making it easier for users to discover fresh and new music. It has introduced a new feature called New Release Radio which will surface new releases based on the user’s personal tastes.
The New Release Radio feature of Google Play Music will make it easier for users to stay on top of all new music that comes out. The service will keep their preferences in mind and surface fresh tracks that it feels are the most relevant to those preferences.
The New Release Radio station relies on machine learning to pick singles and album releases from the past two weeks based on the user’s listening history. This enables Google Play Music to give recommendations that allow users to go through all of the new music that has been released recently.
Google actually launched this feature as a beta on Samsung handsets first. The feedback gathered during the beta has been great which is why the company is now rolling out this feature to any and all Google Play Music users.
Users can find this station by searching for New Release Radio in Google Play Music. It’s available for free to free radio listeners as well as paid subscribers.
