Galaxy Note 8 Granted FCC Certification

Samsung has already confirmed when it’s going to unveil the Galaxy Note 8, its next flagship smartphone. It’s only a matter of time before we know for sure when the new handset is going to be released. It’s not at all surprising to see that the Galaxy Note 8 has stopped by the Federal Communications Commission to receive the regulatory approval that it requires before release.

The Galaxy Note 8 has now received the required certification from the Federal Communications Commission. The FCC filing shows that the handset has model number SM-N950. The filing also reveals that the device is going to have support for both GSM and CDMA networks. As expected, the Galaxy Note 8 will have full compatibility with networks in the United States.

Samsung’s new flagship smartphone is expected to feature a 6.3 inch Infinity Display, a Snapdragon 835 processor coupled with 4GB of RAM and 64GB of RAM. The Galaxy Note 8 might be the first flagship smartphone from Samsung to feature a dual camera system.

It has been about a week since Samsung confirmed that it’s going to unveil the Galaxy Note 8 at an event in New York on August 23rd. Samsung will confirm pricing and availability details about the handset at its August 23rd event.
