Samsung Galaxy Note 8 Could Debut August 23

Along with the iPhone 8, the Samsung Galaxy Note 8 is another highly-anticipated handset that is expected to debut towards the second half of the year. We’re not sure when exactly Samsung will be making the announcement, but some have speculated that IFA 2017 could be the perfect platform to do so.

In fact it seems that we would be almost correct. A report from The Investor out of Korea has revealed that Samsung’s Galaxy Note 8 is expected to be unveiled on the 23rd of August. The report claims that a Samsung executive confirmed that the launch would take place in August in New York, but would not confirm the exact date.

This is in line with an earlier report that suggested that the Galaxy Note 8 could be unveiled in August and ahead of Apple’s iPhone 8 which is expected to be unveiled in September, assuming that Apple does not deviate from their launch plans. We’re sure that many are looking forward to the Note 8’s launch following the botched Note 7 from last year.

No doubt the issues with the Note 7 did have an impact on the Note lineup as well as Samsung’s reputation, but we reckon the Galaxy S8 has done a good job at reassuring users that Samsung has managed to get back on their feet. Either way take this with a grain of salt but we’ll keep our ears peeled for more information in the near future.
