This means that instead of being reliant on lenses to offer stabilization, the camera will offer it. However it seems that there have been some concerns regarding the feature, and that it might only work with some lenses. However according to an update from Fuji Rumors, it seems that the stabilization will work across all of Fujifilm’s Fujinon X-mount lenses.
However we should point out that given how early these rumors are that it should be taken with a grain of salt. As the publication had previously pointed out, in the past there were rumors that an X-Pro1s was in the works as well and had reached prototype stage, but Fujifilm ultimately decided that they would launch the X-Pro2 instead.
This means that there is a good chance the X-T2S may never materialize so maybe we shouldn’t get our hopes up yet, but perhaps Fujifilm could bring the in-body stabilization feature to its other cameras as well.
