Amazon launched its own online shopping holiday called Prime Day a couple of years ago. There’s no other significance to this day other than that you’re meant to subscribe to Amazon Prime and buy things from the online retailer. It promises discounts on countless items and the best discounts are always on the company’s hardware. No wonder the Amazon Echo price has been cut by half for this online shopping event.
During the 30-hour shopping period of Amazon Prime Day which starts today, customers can save 50 percent on an Amazon Echo. They can buy it for $89.99.
Amazon is also offering good discounts on some of its other products. The Echo Dot speaker gets a $15 discount, the Kindle Paperwhite has been discounted by $30 while the Fire HD 8 Kids Edition receives a $40 discount.
Customers who purchase Amazon’s hardware products will be eligible to subscribe to four months of Amazon Music Unlimited for $1.
Amazon Prime Day 2017 deals include up to 50 percent off on select video games, consoles, and accessories as well as up to 40 percent on PC gaming laptops, consoles, and accessories. Customers can save up to 50 percent on Prime Exclusive clothing.
Amazon Prime Day 2017 begins at 6 pm PT tonight and runs for 30 hours.
