AMD has finally confirmed the pricing details about its affordable low-end Ryzen 3 processors. The company has already revealed details about the mid-range and high-end variants of its Ryzen processors and it’s about time that those who were looking forward to the Ryzen 3 chips know just how much they will have to shell out for them. AMD is currently offering two Ryzen 3 processors for purchase to customers.
Prices for the AMD Ryzen 3 processors start at $109. The Ryzen 3 1200 is the base model that’s available starting today for $109. The Ryzen 3 1300X promises a bit more power but costs $129.
Both of the processors use AMD’s Zen cores which the company says can process 52 percent more instructions per clock compared to the previous generation.
The Ryzen 3 1200 features four cores, four threads with clocking at 3.1 GHz at base speed and 3.4GHz with boost speed enabled. The Ryzen 3 1300X also features four cores and four threads. At base speed it offers a performance of 3.5GHz which ramps up to 3.7GHz at boost speed.
AMD mentions that these Ryzen 3 processors are capable of outperforming the competing processors from Intel in gaming settings. The company claimed that the Ryzen 3 1300X can run Tom Clancy’s The Division 10 percent faster than the competing Intel Core i3 7300 chip from its rival.
The two new Ryzen 3 processors are available for purchase starting today.
