For those unfamiliar, Tidal has two subscription tiers, with the first being Tidal Premium and the second being Tidal HiFi. The former is pretty much what most streaming services offer today, while the latter will actually offer up lossless audio HiFi sound quality, which is actually one of the features that sets Tidal apart from the competition.
Now whether or not you can tell the difference between standard audio and lossless audio remains to be seen and also depends on your audio equipment, so Tidal HiFi is probably not for everyone and possibly geared more towards audiophiles. However it is free for 6 months for new and existing Sprint customers so we guess why not take advantage of it, right?
This promotion is expected to kick off today on the 9th of June, and all Sprint customers (new and existing) will have to head on over to Sprint’s website for the details on how to activate the service. Once the 6-month trial is up, Sprint customers then have the option of continuing their subscription with either Tidal Premium at $9.99 a month.
