It turns out that the game has managed to accomplish that and then some, according to the latest data from Apptopia. According to the app intelligence startup based out of Boston, Pokemon GO has reportedly managed to make as much as $1.2 billion in revenue thus far, and has also managed to accumulate as many as 752 million downloads, which is an extremely impressive statistic.
However despite the game having successfully been downloaded so many times, the number of monthly active players pales in comparison. Apptopia claims that Pokemon GO saw about 60 million monthly players for the month of June, with 20% opening the game at least once a day. This is versus the previous month which was reported to have been at 100 million.
That being said we guess once the hype dies down, things will start to normalize and we can get a truer indication of how popular a game is. However Niantic is definitely trying their best to lure players back and have recently announced a new raid battle feature that is sure to bring some players back into the fold.
