However if you feel that maybe, just maybe the game could be improved upon visually, you’re in luck because during E3 2017, Mojang announced that Minecraft will be getting a 4K upgrade this coming fall. This will come in the form of an update called the Super Duper Graphics Pack that will bump the game’s resolution to 4K, offer up high dynamic range, sharper textures, more special effects, and so on.
According to the developers, “We’ll also be releasing new DLC, the Super Duper Graphics Pack. On top of the free 4K update, the Super Duper Graphics Pack introduces features like dynamic shadows, lighting that streams through fog, movement in leaves and grass, new textures for mobs and villagers, directional lighting, edge highlighting and more!”
However this upgrade will clearly be only available for devices that can support 4K and according to the announcement, it will be for the Xbox One, the recently announced Xbox One X, and Windows 10 PCs. The Super Super Graphics Pack update will be free and is expected to be available this coming fall.
