For the most part Apple has been pretty good about updating its older devices to the latest version of iOS. However with the announcement of iOS 11 and the shift towards the 64-bit architecture, it means that devices like the iPhone 5, iPhone 5c, and the 4th gen iPad will be left in the dust and will not be getting the update.
Like we said, this shouldn’t really come as a surprise since this is the direction that Apple has been headed towards for a while now, so for those who are still hanging onto their older iOS devices, perhaps it’s time for you guys to make the upgrade, or at least make peace with the fact that you won’t be seeing iOS 11.
That being said, these older iOS devices will continue to function just fine with iOS 10.3.2 or whatever the last version of iOS 10 will be, but don’t expect to use the latest features of iOS.
