The good news is that Canon has thought of you guys as well and have also announced the Rebel SL2. For those unfamiliar with Canon’s lineup, the Rebel series of DSLR camera are usually seen as more entry-level/basic DSLRs, but they get the job done and you can use them with any existing Canon lens that you might have lying around the house.
With the Rebel SL2, we’re talking about a camera that features a 24.2MP CMOS APS-C sensor with dual pixel CMOS AF. It will feature a 3-inch vari-angle touchscreen LCD display, and is powered by the DIGIC 7 image processor, which by the way is the same processor used in the EOS 6D MK II.
We’re also looking at features such as WiFi, NFC, and Bluetooth connectivity, with support for Full HD video capture and external microphone input. It will be released in the later part of July where it will retail for $549.99 for the body only, or alternatively $699.99 with the Canon EF-S 18-55m f/4-5.6 IS STM lens.
