Uber has recently announced that they are introducing a new feature to its app in the form of custom locations. Dubbed “Saved Places”, this feature allows users to bookmark addresses so that users can enter the details faster as opposed to having to keep pulling it up whenever they need a ride.
“That’s why we’re adding a Saved Places feature to the app. Saved Places makes it easy to bookmark (and forget!) addresses so riders can get to the people and places they need to see faster. Riders can also name these addresses, even with emojis!” For example you could use it to save the location of your hotel when you’re overseas, so that you don’t have to keep figuring out how to explain to your Uber driver where it is you want to go.
At the moment Uber’s Saved Places feature is only available in the US for iOS and Android devices, but the company expects that they will expand this feature to other markets around the world later this year.
