There’s a lot of hype surrounding the next OnePlus flagship smartphone. The company itself has started teasing its next device but hasn’t confirmed a whole lot of information about it. There have been countless rumors and reports about the device, though, which is currently being referred to as the OnePlus 5. The latest out of China suggests that the OnePlus 5 specs are likely to include 6GB of RAM and a dual camera system on the back.
The rumor originates from China and suggests that the next OnePlus flagship smartphone is going to feature a horizontal dual camera setup on the back. It’s also claimed that the device will feature 6GB of RAM and 128GB of onboard storage.
There may even be a variant that touts 8GB of RAM with 256GB of storage but apparently, this is not confirmed at this point in time. Additional specs might include a 3,600mAh battery and a fingerprint sensor. The new smartphone is said to charge 25 percent faster than the OnePlus 3T which is no slouch itself when it comes to quickly juicing up the battery.
The OnePlus 5 is expected to be powered by Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 835 processor, the chip that’s going to power most flagship smartphones this year, so it’s going to be in a very good position to take the fight right to its rivals.
No word as yet from the company on when we can expect it to reveal more information about the OnePlus 5, or whatever it ends up calling its next flagship.
