Nokia 6 U.S. Release Nears After FCC Certification

Nokia fans have been waiting for the new handsets to arrive in the United States. It may not be long before they do make an appearance in online and brick-and-mortar stores Stateside. After the Nokia 3 and Nokia 5, the Nokia 6 U.S. release also draws near now that the handset has received the customary certification from the Federal Communications Commission.

The Nokia that you knew from back in the day isn’t making these smartphones. It’s actually another Finnish company called HMD Global that has licensed Nokia’s brand and is now making smartphones under the company’s iconic brand.

HMD Global has already released the Nokia 6 in other markets across the globe so we know what this device packs under the hood. The Nokia 6 has a 5.5 inch full HD display with a Snapdragon 430 processor, 3GB Of RAM, an Adreno 505 graphics processor as well as 32GB of expandable storage.

It also features a 16 megapixel rear camera with f/2.0 aperture and an 8 megapixel front camera. There’s an 3,000mAh battery keeping the lights on. There’s even a fingerprint sensor. The handset runs Android 7.0 Nougat.

It’s unclear how much the Nokia 6 is going to cost when it’s released in the United States. Now that it has received the FCC certification, hopefully, it shouldn’t take that long for it to be launched in the country.
