Respawn Entertainment today confirmed when the next free DLC pack for Titanfall 2 is going to be released. Those who own the game will have to wait until next month to get their hands on the new DLC called Monarch’s Reign. A trailer has been released today to highlight some of the content that’s included in this DLC pack.
The DLC brings a new titan called Monarch, it’s a mid-range Vanguard-class Titan that is capable of upgrading itself on the battlefield as it has a unique Upgrade Core. Pilots have to select a patch of upgrades and try to survive long enough for the titan to assume its final form.
The design of the Monarch is based on salvaged remains of two Vanguard-class Titans recovered by IMC from the Battle of Typhon. The new titan is focused on flexibility through survival and support options to serve various operational roles. The DLC also includes the new Ronin and Tone prime purchasable Prime Titans.
A new map called Relic is included in the Monarch’s Reign DLC as well. It’s set among the old wreck of the IMS Odyssey carrier. The map has been created with frontline action in mind, players will have to focus on assaulting and controlling the center.
Respawn has worked on a collision pass for Crashsite and has fixed around 100 instances in the cleanup process. It has also added 8 ziplines so that players can get around the map faster, more wallrunning locations have been added as well.
The free Titanfall 2 DLC Monarch’s Reign is going to be released on June 30th.
