HTC U11 Has Already Topped DxOMark’s Camera Charts

As you might have heard by now, HTC has recently launched their latest flagship smartphone in the form of the HTC U11. Now when it comes to smartphone cameras, you might think that companies such as Samsung or Apple top the list, and for the most part both companies do put out some impressive cameras.

However it looks like HTC might have trumped both Apple and Samsung. According to a review of the U11’s camera, the folks at DxOMark have given the phone a score of 90. This is a particularly impressive feat especially when you consider that Samsung’s Galaxy S8 only managed a score of 88, while Apple’s iPhone 7 came in with a score of 86.

It should be noted that HTC has actually previously topped the list at DxOMark with the Pixel, which while branded with Google’s name was actually made by HTC. The HTC 10 also made it onto the list with a score of 88, so it seems that HTC has actually been doing pretty well in the optics department, albeit somewhat understated.

According to DxOMark, it seems that the handset’s camera has performed admirably across the board, particular in the autofocus area. We have yet to test the handset out for ourselves so we can’t really attest to DxOMark’s findings, but there are some sample images posted on the website which you can check out for yourselves if you’re interested. In the meantime Sprint is currently accepting pre-orders for the phone which will be released on the 9th of June.
