HTC’s next flagship smartphone has been rumored quite a bit over the past couple of weeks. Even the company has teased some features of the new handset that’s reportedly going to be called HTC U11. A leaked HTC U11 video has now confirmed some of the features that the new flagship is going to offer. The video appears to have been posted online earlier than scheduled by someone who attended an embargo briefing for the phone.
It wasn’t long before the original video was quickly taken down from YouTube but this is the internet. Nothing can ever be taken down truly. Copies of the video are now widely available on the internet so you too can see what the HTC U11 has to offer.
The design appears to be similar to the HTC U Ultra. It has a high-gloss glass build, is missing a standard 3.5mm headphone jack, and also has an IP57 dust and water resistance rating.
The much-rumored HTC Edge Sense feature has been confirmed in this video. The feature will enable users to perform actions by simply squeezing the phone. The video shows this feature being used to quickly launch the camera, open Google Assistant, and more. The force needed to be applied for this feature can be adjusted from the settings menu.
As far as the specs are concerned, this flagship smartphone is going to be powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 835 processor with 4GB of RAM, 12-megapixel rear and 18-megapixel front camera, and Nougat. No word on the price and release date as yet but HTC will provide that information when it unveils the device officially in the near future.
