Galaxy S8 Red Tint Fix Released By AT&T

Some early Galaxy S8 and Galaxy S8+ owners have had to bear with the red tint issue. They noticed that their new handset’s display had a reddish tint after some usage, which was odd, to say the least, as you don’t expect something like this from a brand new smartphone. Samsung was quick to confirm that this wasn’t a hardware issue and that it would be fixed through a software update. That update started rolling out over a week ago and now AT&T has released it for Galaxy S8 and Galaxy S8+ users on its network.

AT&T has released a new software update for the Galaxy S8 and Galaxy S8+ which brings a fix for the reddish display tint issue. The same update was released by T-Mobile last week.

Build number G950USQU1AQDE and Q955USQU1AQDE is now being rolled out for the Galaxy S8 and Galaxy S8+, respectively. It adds a couple of new controls to the display settings which allow users to further tweak the color balance so that the reddish tint that has been irking users can easily be eliminated.

The update is live now and rolling out for all Galaxy S8 and Galaxy S8+ owners on AT&T. They should receive an over-the-air update notification on their handsets if they haven’t already.
