However that could change with the upcoming Galaxy Note 8. In a series of photos posted onto Weibo (via PhoneArena), an alleged dummy unit of the Note 8 has surfaced. The dummy unit shows off the front and back of the phone, and what’s interesting is how the back of the phone depicts a dual camera setup and also what was missing from the photo was a cutout for the fingerprint sensor.
This has led to speculation that maybe Samsung has managed to figure out how to get the embedded fingerprint sensor working and will be incorporating that into the Note 8. The dual cameras aren’t really a surprise as we have been hearing rumors about them. It almost feels like the Note 8 is what the Galaxy S8 could have been, with the bonus of S Pen support.
In any case take it with a grain of salt for now, especially since in the past many were pretty confident about some of the Galaxy S8’s features only to be disappointed at the official reveal, but here’s hoping that the rumors are true anyway!
