Fitbit is a very well known manufacturer of fitness bands and activity trackers. However, the company hasn’t launched many proper smartwatches. There have been countless reports that Fitbit is working on a new proper smartwatch. Today, purported images of Fitbit’s new smartwatch have been leaked online. We also get a glimpse of the headphones that Fitbit is reportedly going to launch later this year.
Yahoo Finance reports that Fitbit has had to delay the release of both new devices due to production issues. It’s expected to release the smartwatch and Bluetooth headphones in the coming months.
One of the issues that it was facing with the smartwatch involved the placement of the GPS antennae. Fitbit has reportedly been facing difficulties in making the smartwatch completely waterproof as well.
Fitbit’s upcoming smartwatch is believed to have an aluminum unibody design with swappable watch bands, color display, a built-in GPS, mobile payments support, local music storage and playback as well as four days of battery life. It may price the smartwatch at $300.
The Bluetooth headphones are said to be similar to Apple’s Beats X earbuds. They will hang around the user’s neck and provide them with a decent audio experience. Expected to launch in Nightfall Blue and Lunar Gray colors, Fitbit might sell them for $150 when they’re launched later this year.
