Unfortunately it seems that the rumors have since been dispelled following the game’s official reveal. In a report from USgamer, it has been confirmed that there will not be any cross-save between PCs and consoles, meaning that if you choose to play on the PC, you’re pretty much locked to the PC, and the same can be said for console.
What this means is that if you do have a group of friends that you want to play the game with, you guys will need to decide whether or not you want to play on the PC, PS4, or the Xbox One, that is unless someone doesn’t mind starting from scratch. According to Mike Zak, the game’s art director, “Hopefully, you’re going to find a platform where you’ve got friends and stick to that one. If you don’t, you can use our new Guided Games system for clans to make new friends.”
Cross-play between consoles and PCs is something that gamers have been asking for for the longest time ever, but due to different settings, hardware, security protocols, and with companies insisting on using their own services like PSN, Xbox Live, and etc., we reckon it might be a while before that happens.
