Back in February it was announced that a “Castlevania” animated series would be finding its way onto Netflix. If this is something that you’re looking forward to then you might be interested to learn that Netflix has officially announced the debut date of the series which has been set for the 7th of July.
For those who were hoping for a live action Castlevania, we guess you might be a bit disappointed to learn that it is an animated series, although admittedly animation will probably help to keep to the mood of the game and its background story, as opposed to live action which can come off rather cheesy at times.

The series will be written by Warren Ellis, a famed comics writer, and will also see Adventure Time’s Kevin Kolde making some contributions, and it will also feature Adi Shankar who will be producing the series, so with all these big names behind it, not to mention the fame/legacy of the Castlevania franchise, here’s hoping that the series will do well.
Naturally you will need a Netflix account to view this since this will be exclusive to Netflix, so you should probably go ahead and sign up for an account if you don’t already have one.
