For those who are unfamiliar with Instant Apps, basically these are apps that can be launched within your mobile device’s browser. The idea is that it will save users time and data from having to download and install the app, especially if this is an app that they might only plan on using a couple of times.
For example if you’re traveling in a foreign country and there is a country-specific app you want to use, you won’t need to download it as you will be able to access it via your browser there and then. Of course this will require developers to make sure that it is Instant App compatible, which is what Google’s announcement at this year’s I/O event is all about.
For developers who are interested in making their apps compatible, just head on over to the Android Developer website where there are details and instructions on how to do just that.
