With so many tablets available in the market today, consumers are really spoilt for choice. However if you’re looking for a tablet for the sake of a tablet and don’t really want to break the bank by buying an iPad or iPad Pro, Alcatel and T-Mobile might have something for you in the form of the Alcatel A30.

The Alcatel A30 is a tablet that has been launched on T-Mobile and it is a rather basic tablet. It sports an 8-inch display with a resolution of 1200×800 which means it probably isn’t the sharpest display we’ve seen. However if you can overlook that or if you think that it probably doesn’t matter, then it should be a non-issue for you.

Under the hood, the A30 will be powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 210 chipset. It will also come with 2GB of RAM, 16GB of native storage that can be expanded via microSD. There is also a 4,060mAh battery which when combined with its entry-level specs should last users quite a while before needing a recharge.

We’re also looking at a pair of 5MP cameras on the front and back, and to top it off it will run on Android Nougat. There will also be 4G LTE connectivity so if you just want a tablet to read stuff on, surf the web, or watch videos, the A30 should be more than capable. The tablet will be priced at $5 down, and $5 a month on T-Mobile’s Equipment Installment Plan.
