Considering that the handset officially went on sale last month, it is a very impressive figure for a phone that’s barely a month old. Samsung expects this figure to grow as they stated that the phone’s availability should expand to 120 countries within the month, where they will also be launching in China which should receive the version with 6GB of RAM.
That being said, we’re not sure at the moment if the Galaxy S8 has the potential to outsell its predecessor the Galaxy S7. However Samsung had previously stated that pre-orders for the phone were up by 30% compared to a year so assuming that Samsung can maintain that momentum, we reckon it shouldn’t be too hard for the Galaxy S8 to surpass its predecessor.
The company is also expected to launch a brand new Note 8 handset towards the later part of the year, something that we’re sure many are watching very carefully to see if Samsung can avoid last year’s mishaps.
