Last year there were reports that YouTube could have a new service in the works called YouTube TV, and those rumors were later proven to be true when back in February 2017, YouTube officially announced the service. The good news for those who are interested is that it appears that YouTube TV is now live.
In an announcement by YouTube, YouTube TV has been officially launched and those who are interested will be able to check out the service. However at the moment the service is only live in five markets within the US, which includes New York, Los Angeles, San Francisco Bay Area, Chicago, and Philadelphia.
This means that for those living in other cities/states in the US, you guys are out of luck for now although YouTube does plan to expand to more markets in the future. For those living outside of the US, we’re not sure if YouTube TV will ever find its way to your market, but we can imagine that it might not necessarily be completely out of the question.
For those who plan to subscribe to YouTube TV, you guys will get live TV streaming from the likes of ABC, CBS, FOX, NBC, ESPN, Fox Sports Networks, Comcast SportsNet, and more. You’ll be able to record as many shows as you want at the same time, with the recordings being kept in the cloud. You’ll also be able to share your membership with up to six accounts at once, and all for the price of $35 a month. To learn more or sign up, head on over to YouTube TV’s website for the details.
